Dear Team Tornado Supporter, 

Sailing ranks among the most successful Olympic sports for the United States.  U.S. sailors have won 50 Olympic medals, a record unmatched by any other country. Yet, as with every Olympic sport, the challenges of remaining the best in the world continue to grow. 

Sailing talent in the United States runs deep, but the sport has changed and our athletes must change with it.  They must adopt new approaches to training and competition, and find new approaches to funding a successful Olympic Campaign. It takes talent, commitment, organization, and a tough competition schedule to get to the pinnacle of Olympic competition. And, it takes year-round funding to sustain a gold-medal campaign. 

Team Tornado USA has been formed to meet the Olympic challenge. It has the talent, commitment, and campaign organization skills needed to win.  It needs your help to secure the funding and sponsorship needed to keep training and competing at the highest level. 

The information contained on this site will explain where the money goes and what it takes to mount a successful campaign. With your help we can look forward to “striking gold” in Athens 2004. Thank you in advance for your interest in supporting Team Tornado’s Olympic bid.
